Marco Prioli was born in Cesena, Italy, in 1986. He received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering with full marks and honor from Politecnico di Milano, Italy in 2010. The subject of his graduation thesis was the definition of an improved Power Quality index to measure harmonic disturbances based on Fuzzy Logic and Fuzzy Inference Systems. The Italian Electrotechnical Committee (CEI) awarded this thesis with the best graduation thesis prize on electrical regulation issues.
He received the Ph.D. degree from the same University in 2014. His Ph.D. thesis was focused on the development of a new approach to uncertainty evaluation in complex measurement systems, framed within the mathematical Theory of Evidence. He is author of fourteen peer-review publications related to this research topic, seven of which were published on international journals.
Since 2011, he is an IEEE student member and an IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society member. He is also a member of the Italian Association for Electrical and Electronic Measurements (GMEE).
