Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors are individuals who contribute to the Instrumentation and Measurement (I&M) Society by sharing information about the I&M Society with their peers. They can choose to make a presentation at their own university, at an IEEE Section or I&M Chapter meeting, give a talk on engineering at a local grade school, middle school or high school, or distribute copies of the I&M Magazine to their peers. Furthermore, they provide feedback to the I&M Society as to how we might improve our services to students.

I&M Society Student Paper Contest

Involving our student members as well as other students more actively in the Instrumentation and Measurement Society (IMS) is one of the major goals established recently by the IMS Membership Development Committee. In 2005, we began several initiatives to provide more benefits to our student members and encourage them to continue as active members after graduation. One of those initiatives was the creation of Student Paper Contests to be held in conjunction with our two major conferences, the Systems Readiness Technology Conference (AUTOTESTCON) and the International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC), and one of our symposia, Sensors Applications Symposia (SAS).
