The I&M Society Distinguished Service Award is presented each year to an individual who has given outstanding service to the Society and to the profession. All nominees must be, or have been, members of the I&M Society. Secondary considerations are service to the IEEE, IRE or AIEE, service to the engineering profession in general, technical accomplishments and outstanding technical leadership.

Distinguished Service Award
The Award consists of $2000 and a plaque. Also up to $1000 will be paid to the recipient for transportation to the place of the presentation.
This award is funded by the IEEE I&M Society.
September 1 (extended from August 1)
The award will be presented each year at the IEEE I2MTC Conference.
All nominees must be, or have been, members of the I&M Society.
Basis for Judgement:
The Society Awards Subcommittee will review the nominations, with the main criterion being service to the I&M Society. Nominees must exhibit actions that reflect positively on and enhance the reputation of the I&M Society
For outstanding service as Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement and as a member of the Administrative Committee.
For continuing and outstanding service to the Instrumentation and Measurement Society as Treasurer, Editor of the Newsletter, member of the Administrative Committee, Director and Chairman of the Board of IMTC and Director and Technical Program Chairman of
For long and outstanding service to the Instrumentation and Measurement Society as President, Vice-President and Secretary/Treasurer of the Society, member of the Administrative Committee and Technical Program Director of IMTC.
