Biography

Álvaro Hernández (M’06, SM’15) obtained his BSc and MSc in Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering from the University of Alcala (Spain) in 1996 and 1998, respectively; and the PhD in Electronics and Systems from the University of Alcala, and from the Blaise Pascal University (France) in 2003. Since 2017, he is a professor of Digital Systems and Electronic Design at the Electronics Department in the University of Alcala. His research areas are multi-sensor integration, electronic systems for sensory and measurement systems, digital and embedded systems. He has participated in 37 research projects in the area of electronic design and sensory systems, as well as in 37 contracts with companies and industries related to the field of instrumentation and signal processing. He has co-authored more than 75 papers in journals and more than 150 papers in different international conferences.
