Born in 2004, Chamil Ahlee is a driven third-year Computer Engineering and AI undergraduate at Walailak University (GPA 3.62), As an IEEE Student Member, he is eager to learn and engage professionally.
Growing up with greater independence after his parents' separation during junior high, Chamil developed resilience that shaped his character. His passion for technology was sparked after winning a provincial science competition for a smart lamp project in high school, leading him to pursue engineering over his initial aptitude in pre-medical studies.
His expertise in instrumentation and measurement is exemplified by his leadership in a landslide prevention project, where he optimized multi-modal sensor systems for precise data acquisition, refined FFT algorithms on RTOS for real-time analysis, and enhanced LoRa networks to ensure rapid transmission of critical warning data.
Beyond this, Chamil has contributed to the Patient Panic Detection System and a smart off-season mangosteen production system, further demonstrating his growing expertise in sensor integration and intelligent automation across diverse applications.
Chamil's commitment to continuous learning and innovation recently earned him the prestigious Experiential Learning Program (ELP) award. This exceptional opportunity will take him to the UK, where he will gain invaluable insights into global business practices and entrepreneurial development. The ELP, a key initiative by Thailand's Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
Furthermore, Chamil is actively involved as a research assistant in Computer Engineering, contributing to the design of military systems for strategic battle plans. This role highlights his ability to apply advanced technical knowledge to complex, real-world challenges, expanding his expertise into critical defense applications.
Looking ahead, Chamil aspires to develop AI-driven and sensor-based systems to address critical issues like disaster prevention, infrastructure improvement, and sustainable resource management, while fostering collaboration within the technology development community.
