David Hanley received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in aerospace engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, in 2013 and 2015, respectively. Subsequently, he received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering, also at the University of Illinois in 2022. He was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate with the School of Informatics and Centre for Inflammation Research at the University of Edinburgh from 2021 to 2025.
He is currently an Assistant Professor at DePaul University's School of Computing. His research interests include sensing and state estimation applied to medical robotics and indoor navigation.
