Biography

Eduardo CABAL-YEPEZ received his M.Eng. Degree from Facultad de Ingenieria Mecanica Electrica y Electronica (FIMEE), Universidad de Guanajuato, Mexico, in 2001, and his Ph.D. Degree from University of Sussex, United Kingdom, in 2007. In April 2008, he joined the Division de Ingenierias, Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, Universidad de Guanajuato, where he is a leading Professor and Dean of the Multidisciplinary Studies Department. He has been author/co-author of more than 31 research papers published in Journals registered in the Journal Citation Report (JCR). His current research interests are Digital Instrumentation, Digital Image and Signal Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Smart Sensors, Real-time Processing, Mechatronics, FPGAs, Power Quality, and Embedded Systems, among others. He serves as Area Editor for the International Journal “Computers and Electrical Engineering” from Elsevier, and as Associate Editor for the international Journal “Digital Signal Processing”, from Elsevier. He is an active member of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, and the IEEE Signal Processing Society.
