Gang Tang received a B.E. degree from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 2005, and a Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2010. He visited the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, as a visiting scholar from 2008 to 2009. Then he worked in the Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration & Development, PetroChina, from 2010 to 2013. He is currently a Professor at the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing, China. His current research interests include intelligent sensing and advanced computing for machinery, mechanical signals processing, fault diagnosis, Prognostics, and Health Management (PHM). He has been recognized as the outstanding reviewer for IEEE Trans. on Instrumentation & Measurement in 2020. He also serves an active peer reviewer for several international journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Sensors Journal, Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, and Reliability Engineering & System Safety.
