Hongrui Wang received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering and automation from the School of Electrical Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China in 2012. In 2019, he received his Ph.D. degree in railway engineering from the Department of Engineering Structures, Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands, where he was a postdoc researcher until Decmeber 2020 and was an assistant professor until April 2026. He was also a faculty member of the TU Delft AI Initiative. He is currently a Full Professor with the School of Electrical Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University. His research interests include sensors, signal processing, machine learning, digital twins and their applications in the health monitoring and asset management of railway infrastructures and vehicles.
