Javad Gatabi, has a multidisciplinary research background in the field of low-noise electronics, spectroscopy, laser optics, and ultrasonics. He received his BSc in electrical engineering-electronics with a focus on sensors from IUST, and MSc in Physics with a focus on Optics Instrumentations and PhD in Material Science, Engineering, and Commercialization with focus on semiconductors and thin film detectors from Texas State University.
He is a former Apple senior sensor design engineer with over 15 years of project and team leadership experience in several professional fields including consumer electronics, oil & gas industries, medical instrumentations, and renewable energy. He was the PI or the key research contributor for several research projects funded by United Nations, Navy, Air Force, and NSF.
Dr. Gatabi has co-authored/co-invented more than 50 technical publications including Journal papers, conference presentations, and US & international patents. He has served as a reviewer for several top-tier journals including IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America.
