Juan Pablo Rosas Pineda is a Robotics and Telecommunications Engineering student at Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP), currently entering his fourth year. He is an active member of the IEEE student branch at UDLAP and participates in several student chapters, including the Instrumentation and Measurement Society (IMS), the Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), and the Communications Society (ComSoc). He also serves on his program's student council.
Juan Pablo's academic interests focus on signal processing and instrumentation in robotics, areas where he combines his engineering training with a personal background in music. He has explored audio signal processing through independent projects and aspires to apply measurement technologies to robotic systems in meaningful and innovative ways.
In the short term, he aims to complete his degree, launch new technical initiatives within the student chapters he supports, and become more engaged in IEEE events and competitions. Looking ahead, Juan Pablo hopes to pursue a master's degree and potentially a PhD, with the goal of contributing to industry standards and advancing measurement science through research and development.
Receiving the IEEE IMS Scholarship provides Juan Pablo with vital support to continue challenging himself and growing as a student leader. It motivates him to stay active in the IEEE community and to keep striving for excellence in both academics and engineering impact.
