Rajan Sarkar

Biography

Rajan Sarkar (Member, IEEE) received the B.E degree in Electrical Engineering from NIT Agartala in 1999, the M.Tech degree in Measurement and Instrumentation Engineering, and the Ph.D. (Tech.) degree in Instrumentation Engineering from the University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India, in 2001 and 2012, respectively. He joined the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Gaya College of Engineering, India, as an Associate Professor, in 2022, where he is currently working as a Principal. He has been involved in carrying out research projects on transducer development, process-plant instrumentation, and process modelling. He has co-authored more than 23 articles in international journals, of which more than 11 are in IEEE Transactions/Journals. He has guided 02 Ph.D. scholars and presently 03 scholars are working. He has received an outstanding reviewer award in 2021 from IEEE I&M society. At present, he also serves as Associate Editor of IEEE TIM, USA.
