Susanna Spinsante Email Biography Susanna Spinsante (SM’11) received the M.Sc. degree (summa cum laude) in Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Information Engineering, Marche Polytechnic University, Ancona, Italy, in 2002 and 2005, respectively. From November 2005 to 2012 she was a Post Doc in telecommunications at the same Department, and a fixed term Assistant Professor in telecommunications from 2013 to 2018. Since September 2018 she is a tenure track Assistant Professor in Electrical and Electronic Measurements. She participated in several national and international projects dealing with sensors and measurements for human activity monitoring and fall detection. She has authored or coauthored over 200 papers in international journals or conference proceedings. Her current research interests include the design and validation of wearable sensors-based measurement systems for human activity monitoring and quantification in uncontrolled settings and physiological measurements, as well as IoT-based smart sensors for enabling predictive maintenance of MV/LV switchgears. She volunteers in several IEEE initiatives and committees and serves as reviewer for several international journals in the fields of instrumentation and measurements, wearable sensors, and measurement signals processing.
