Dr. Tongtong Yan is a Research Fellow at the University of British Columbia, Canada. She received the B.E. degree in Traffic Equipment and Control Engineering from Central South University, China, in 2019, and the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2022 and 2024, respectively. She previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Fellow at Western University, Canada.
Her research focuses on prognostics and health management (PHM), structural health monitoring (SHM), and battery management systems (BMS), with emphasis on interpretable data-fusion modeling, health index construction, condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, performance degradation assessment, and battery state-of-health and end-of-life prediction. She has also served as a Guest Editor for several journals, including Measurement Science and Technology.
