Tuan Guo received a Ph.D. degree in optics from Nankai University, China, in 2007. He is a professor and Vice Dean of the College of Physics & Optoelectronic Engineering at Jinan University in China. His research interests include optical fiber sensing technology and system, biochemical sensors, and renewable energy storage sensors. He authored over 300 papers in peer-refereed journals and international conferences, 9 invited reviews, 7 book chapters and has been awarded over 30 patents from China and USA. Dr. Guo received the 2018 Technical Award and the 2022 Best Application Award, both from IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society (IEEE IMS). Dr. Guo is an IEEE IMS technical committee chair of Photonic Technology. He is a deputy editor of IEEE Journal of Lightwave Technology, an associate editor of Science China Information Sciences, and Measurement: Energy. He has served as an associate TPC Chair for IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (l2MTC) since 2019. He is a Fellow of IEEE and a Fellow Optica.
