Call for Service Learning Projects

Create Community-Driven Accessibility Solutions

EPICS in IEEE is seeking proposals for service learning projects focused on access and abilities. These projects should bring together students, faculty, and IEEE professionals with community organizations to address technological needs through the design, building, testing, and deployment of local accessible solutions.

Project Focus Areas

  • Accessibility issues
  • Adaptive services
  • Technology redesign for equal access
  • Assistive technology development

Projects should be completed within one year and must involve IEEE members. Partnerships with local IEEE sections, chapters, affinity groups, and student branches are encouraged.

Funding and Support

Selected projects will receive up to $10,000 USD, mentorship, and resources.

The EPICS in IEEE committee will also accept projects within our other pillars [Education and Outreach, Environmental and Human Services].

Proposal Submission Period: September 1, 2025 – October 1, 2025
