Stimulate interest in researchers and practitioners in emerging technologies in the application of same in the field of instrumentation, measurement, and test;
Address the increasing demand of emerging technologies in performance and functionality;
Disseminate use and knowledge of emerging technologies in I&M fields to the academic and scientific communities;
Provide forums such as workshops and conferences where such new and emerging technologies can be discussed;
Promote the utilization of such technologies in real applications;
Maintain liaison with other groups, societies, and standards activities working in the same fields.
