Explore and advance the state-of-the-art in the measurement and instrumentation of the various properties of materials, such as conductivity, dielectric properties, index of refraction, loss, frequency response, radar absorbency, and impurity;
Develop standards in the field as appropriate;
Generate interest in the field by conduct of workshops, lectures, and technical papers;
Maintain liaison with other groups, societies and organizations working in the same area.
