The I&M Society Distinguished Service Award is presented each year to an individual who has given outstanding service to the Society and to the profession. All nominees must be, or have been, members of the I&M Society. Secondary considerations are service to the IEEE, IRE or AIEE, service to the engineering profession in general, technical accomplishments and outstanding technical leadership.

Distinguished Service Award
The Award consists of $2000 and a plaque. Also up to $1000 will be paid to the recipient for transportation to the place of the presentation.
This award is funded by the IEEE I&M Society.

The award will be presented each year at the IEEE I2MTC Conference.
All nominees must be, or have been, members of the I&M Society.
Basis for Judgement:
The Society Awards Subcommittee will review the nominations, with the main criterion being service to the I&M Society. Nominees must exhibit actions that reflect positively on and enhance the reputation of the I&M Society
For the outstanding enduring contributions to the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, the IEEE at large and the Profession.
For outstanding contributions to the Society as IMTC 1998 General Chair, I2MTC 2013 General Co-Chair, I2MTC Board of Directors Chair, Administrative Committee VP of Education, as well as his Society leadership over many years at the local section level.
For eighteen years of outstanding leadership on the Society’s AdCom, including service on the IMS Fellow Review Committee, as Chair of the I2MTC Board, Vice President for Publications, President, Junior Past President, Senior Past President, and Editor-in
For tirelessly providing outstanding, extremely valuable and critical service to the I&M Society, in a sustained manner as I&M Administrative Committee Member-at-Large
