Biography

Martti Kirkko-Jaakkola received his M.Sc. and D.Sc. (Tech.) degrees from Tampere University of Technology, Finland, in 2008 and 2013, respectively.

From 2006 to 2013, he was with the Department of Pervasive Computing, Tampere University of Technology, including research visits to the Technical University of Munich, Munich, Germany, and the European Space Research and Technology Centre, Noordwijk, The Netherlands. In 2013 he joined the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute, Kirkkonummi, Finland, where he has been working on various projects related to positioning, navigation, and timing. Since 2019 he is working with Nordic Inertial, Akaa, Finland. His research interests include low-cost precise satellite positioning, microelectromechanical inertial sensors, and global navigation satellite system-based time transfer.
