Ali Asghar Nazari Shirehjini


Ali Asghar Nazari Shirehjini obtained his Ph.D. degree in computer science ("mit Auszeichnung") from Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany, in 2008. Prior to that, he earned a Dipl.-Ing. degree from the University of Applied Sciences, Kiel, Germany, in 2001. From 2001 to 2008, he worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics, Darmstadt, Germany. Between December 2008 and April 2011, he held the position of Vision 2010 Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, ON, Canada. Following that, he served as a senior researcher at the Distributed Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (DAI-Labor), TU Berlin, Germany, from 2011 to 2013. From 2013 to 2018, he worked as an assistant professor at Sharif University of Technology.

His research interests span various areas, including instrumentation and measurement, human-computer interaction, and the Internet of Things.

Currently, he holds the position of senior research scientist at the University of Ottawa.
