Biography

Bernard (Bernie) P. Gollomp (1926–2009) was a 1949 Graduate of the Polytechnic Institute of NYU and also held an MBA degree. He was elected an IEEE Life Fellow in 1991, for achievements in test instrumentation, especially related to test-oriented languages. Bernie was the Winner of the 1988 Frank McGinnis AUTOTESTCON Professional Achievement Award, and the 1995 recipient of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society (IMS)Technical Award. He was IMS's President in 1983-1984, and drafted the constitution and bylaws of the IMS, as well as the charter of the IEEE AUTOTESTCON. An IEEE IMTC founder, Bernie drafted the charter of this organization and helped launch the first two conferences.
