Ernst Karl Csencsics Email Biography Ernst received an MSc. and a PhD degree (Sub Auspiciis) in Electrical Engineering from TU Wien, Austria, in 2014 and 2018, respectively. In 2023, he obtained the Habilitation in the field of Measurement Systems at TU Wien. He is currently Associate Professor for Measurement Systems in the Advanced Mechatronic Systems Group at the Automation and Control Institute (ACIN) of TU Wien as well as director of the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Precision Measurements in Motion. His primary research interests are on opto-mechatronic measurement, sensing and imaging systems, the development of holistic methods for multidisciplinary design and integration of scanning systems, precise and flexible robotic inline measurement systems, high performance mechatronics and precision engineering. He was awarded the journal best paper award of IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics (2018), the best student paper award at the American Control Conference (ACC, 2016), and the best paper award at the IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC, 2022).
