Biography

Paolo Attilio Pegoraro received the M.S. degree (summa cum laude) in telecommunication engineering and the Ph.D. degree in electronic and telecommunication engineering from the University of Padova, Padua, Italy, in 2001 and 2005, respectively. From 2015 to 2018, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Cagliari, Cagliari, Italy, where he is currently an Associate Professor of Electrical and Electronic Measurement. He has authored and co-authored over 90 scientific papers, mainly published in international journals and in proceedings of international conferences sponsored by IEEE Societies. His current research interests include the development of new architectures and measurement techniques for the monitoring of modern power networks, with particular attention to synchronized measurements and state estimation for transmission and distribution grids. Dr. Pegoraro is a member of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society TC 39 – Measurements in Power Systems, and of IET TC 38 – Instrument transformers.
