Biography

Roman Sotner received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic, in 2008 and 2012, respectively. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Radio Electronics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Brno University of Technology, Brno, Czech Republic.

His research interests include modern analogue adjustable active elements, electronic control/adjustment of circuits (active filters, oscillators, generators, etc.), circuits synthesis (integer and fractional-order) and design (including also microelectronic IC design and layout), computer simulations and modeling, behavioral modeling and representation, real circuit behavior, parasitic analysis and characterization and experimental work. He has authored and co-authored more than 160 scientific publications in journals and conferences proceedings.

He is member of IEEE, IEEE Circuits and Systems Society and IEICE. He has served as TPC member and/or reviewer of many conferences (Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, Electronics, International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, International Conference on Electronics Circuits and Systems, etc.). He works as reviewer for many international journals (International Journal of Electronics, International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, Microelectronics Journal, Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, Circuits Systems and Signal Processing, IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I, II, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IET Circuits Devices and Systems, IET Electronics Letters, AEU - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, etc.) He serves as associated editor of Radioengineering Journal (from 2014).
