Xiangchen Qian Email Biography Xiangchen Qian (IEEE M’11) is an Associate Professor at the School of Control and Computer Engineering, North China Electric Power University, China. He received the B.Eng. degree in Automation from Tianjin University of Technology, Tianjin, China, in 2004, the M.Sc. degree in Measurement Techniques and Automatic Devices from Tianjin University, Tianjin, in 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK, in 2013. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Future Energy Center, Mälardalen University, Sweden, in 2017 and the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University College London, UK, from 2018 to 2019. His research interests include sensors and instrumentation systems for the measurement of multiphase flows, burner flames and industrial processes, multi-sensor data fusion, and machine learning based data analytics. He has published 57 papers in journals and conference proceedings and held 26 patents. He was awarded the Best Paper Award – 1st Place at the flagship conference of IEEE I&M Society I2MTC in 2016.
