Yuan Gao

Biography

Yuan Gao (M’19) received his bachelor’s degree from Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China, in 2010 and master’s degree from Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen Graduate School, Shenzhen, China, in 2013, both in Electrical Engineering. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T), Rolla, MO, USA, in 2019. From May 2018 to Aug. 2018, he was an EMC Design Engineering Intern with Apple. Inc., Cupertino, CA, USA. He is currently an EM Design Technologist at Apple. Inc., Cupertino, CA, USA. His research interests include microwave and millimeter wave imaging, antenna design, electromagnetic compatibility and materials characterization.

He was a recipient of the 2016 IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society Graduate Fellowship Award, 2018 IEEE International Instrumentation & Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC) Student Travel Grant Award, 2019 IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference Best Student Paper (2nd place) and 2019 IEEE AP-S Student Paper Competition Honorable Mention Award.
