Min Xia

Biography

Min Xia (S’11-M’17-SM’22) is an Associate Professor and the Director of Machine Intelligence Laboratory (MIN Lab) in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Western University in Canada. He received B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Southeast University, China (2009); M.S. degree in Precision Machinery and Precision Instrumentation from the University of Science and Technology of China, China (2012); and Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada (2017). He has led 15 research projects in the UK, Canada, and Japan with total funding of $19 million. Dr. Xia is Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Mechatronic Systems and Control, Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Istrumentation and Measurement, Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, and IET Collaborative Intelligent Manufacturing. His research interests include intelligent machine condition monitoring, advanced manufacturing process monitoring and optimization, industrial data mining, and smart clean energy system.
