Nan Li

Biography

Dr. Nan Li received his B.Eng 2004 from Xidian University, MSc 2008 from University of Manchester and Ph.D 2010 from Xidian University. He joined the Non-destructive Testing & Evaluation Institute in Beijing University of Technology since 2010, from where he moved to the School of Automation at Northwestern Polytechnical University in July 2016 as an Associate Professor. He was a deputy director at College of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Electronics Technology of Beijing University of Technology from September 2014 to June 2016. He is a deputy director of the Department of Detection Technology and Automation since 2019. He is the leader of Advanced Intelligent Measurement, Control and Navigation Technology Research Center (AIMCNT), School of Automation, Northwestern Polytechnical University, China. He is director of Institute of Instrumentation (Shaanxi Chapter, China), director of Inertial Technology Society (Shaanxi Chapter, China), and fellow of Electromagnetic Metrology Technical Committee (Shaanxi Chapter, China). His interests are non-destructive testing and evaluation, sensor optimization design, electrical capacitance tomography, control theory and engineering, etc. As the person in charge, he undertook 3 NFSC (National Natural Science Foundation of China) projects, and participate over 3 Key projects of NFSC since 2012. He serves as the reviewer for more than 20 international journals (including IEEE TIE, IEEE TIM, IEEE TII, etc.). He was selected as an IEEE TIM outstanding reviewer in 2020 and 2021 by IEEE IMS. He was SPS1 organizer of 2021 IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC). He was SI Leader Guest Editor of Journal of sensors. He is currently SI Leader Guest Editor of IEEE Sensors Journal. He is IEEE senior member, IEEE IMS member, ISIPT member, and Member of China Instrument and Meer Association.
