Marco Pau

Biography

Marco Pau received the B.S and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cagliari, Cagliari, Italy, in 2008 and 2011, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Cagliari, Italy, in 2015, with a dissertation about state estimation in electrical distribution systems. In 2015 he joined the Institute for Automation of Complex Power Systems at RWTH Aachen University, where he led the team for distribution grid monitoring and automation. Since 2022, he is senior researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology. His current research interests include the design of solutions for the monitoring and automation of power systems and the development of techniques for smart grids management.
