Logan Wilcox

Biography

Logan M. Wilcox (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) received a B.S. degree in computer engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T), Rolla, MO, USA, in 2020, where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and a Graduate Certificate in explosives engineering. He was an Associate Engineer with Tech Electronics, a Technology Services Company, St. Louis, MO, USA, from 2020 to 2021. Since 2021, he has been a Graduate Research Assistant with the Microwave Sensing (μSense) Laboratory, at Missouri S&T, where his research interests include nondestructive testing and evaluation, microwave and thermal materials characterization, and thermal image analysis and processing.

Mr. Wilcox is a part of the inaugural class of the Kummer Innovation and Entrepreneurship Doctoral Fellowship Program at Missouri S&T and recipient of the 2021 IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement (IMS) Graduate Fellowship Award. Within IEEE IMS, he is currently the Graduate Student Representative, where he is serving on the Education and Membership Development Committees. Additionally, he is a member of the Technical Committees (TC) on Nondestructive Evaluation and Industrial Inspection (TC-01) and Radiation and Nuclear Instrumentation and Systems (TC-45). Outside of IEEE IMS, he serves on the IEEE-HKN Board of Governors as a Student Governor, where he is serving on the Alumni Engagement Committee and the Student to Alumni Transition Ad hoc Committee.
