Mohamad Forouzanfar

Biography

Mohamad Forouzanfar (S’09, M’14, SM’18) received the PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Ottawa, Ottawa, ON, Canada, in 2014. From 2014 to 2017, he held postdoctoral appointments at Stanford University, Harvard University, and the University of Ottawa. Since 2017, he has been a Research Scientist at SRI International, Menlo Park, CA, USA. He has over 15 years of experience in developing sensing and imaging systems for health management. He is currently working across several studies to better measure, analyze, and interpret physiological data by developing advanced wearable technologies, signal and image processing methods, and artificial intelligent algorithms. He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles and chapters and co-invented three patents. Dr. Forouzanfar is an IEEE Senior Member and an Associate Editor of IEEE Access. He has also served as a reviewer for several top-tier journals and conferences and has been recognized as an Outstanding Reviewer for a number of them.
