Biography

Edoardo Fiorucci received the "laurea" degree cum laude in Electrical Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of L’Aquila (Italy), in 2000 and 2004 respectively. His dissertation thesis focused on the New Techniques and Digital Instrumentation for the Power Quality Evaluation.

Since 2006 he is a Researcher in Measurements and Instrumentation in the Department of Industrial and Information Engineering and Economics and an Aggregate Professor of Testing of Electrical Machines and Power Systems in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of L'Aquila.

Edoardo Fiorucci is the author of more than 100 scientific publications, in international and Italian journals, transactions, books and conferences concerning the following research areas: 1) pc-based instrumentation; 2) measurement systems for power quality evaluation; 3) measurement systems for automatic testing of electrical machines; 4) smart web sensors for distributed measurement applications; 5) medical instrumentation.

Since 2003 he is a Member of IEEE IMS Instrumentation and Measurement Society.

He serves as a reviewer for: IEEE IMS Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, IEEE IES Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE PES Transactions on Energy Conversion, IMEKO Measurement Journal, IOP Metrologia, and IOP Measurement Science and Technology.

In 2006, he won the "Carlo Offelli" Award of the Italian Association GMEE for his PhD thesis.

He received three times the recognition as one of IMS Transactions "Outstanding Reviewers", for the years 2008, 2009 and 2011.

In 2011 he has been elevated to IEEE Senior Member grade.

Since January 2012 Edoardo Fiorucci serves as an "Associate Editor" for the IEEE IMS Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement.
