The EPICS in IEEE service-learning projects are an opportunity for students to work with IEEE members and local community organizations to address the local technological needs in their communities. Through their service-learning projects, the students will also develop critical knowledge and skills to help them succeed in their future engineering careers. Check out the Call for Proposals webpage for more information about how IMS Members can create a team and submit a project proposal. All projects should involve IMS members, and IMS-relevant technology should be used in the proposed solution to address the community challenge. Projects can fall within any of our four pillars: Environment, Education and Outreach, Access and Abilities, and/or Human Services. Selected projects will receive up to $10,000 USD, mentorship and resources. EPICS in IEEE offers a detailed training course on “How to Write an EPICS in IEEE Project Proposal.” We encourage all those interested in submitting a proposal to review the training to learn more about the EPICS in IEEE requirements and tips for writing an outstanding proposal.
